Equity Sales and Trading

Trusted advisors deliver full equities platform

Equity Sales and Trading team has longstanding and deep relationships with top institutional investors throughout the country1. We work in a trusted advisory capacity with our asset-manager clients to deliver the entirety of our equities platform—top-quality single-stock and thematic research, equity capital markets offerings, and high-touch equities trading. Our U.S. institutional equity salespeople work closely with colleagues in Japanese equities and fixed income distribution to deliver actionable and focused single-stock and market insights to money-management clients.

Experienced team bridges geography and capabilities

Our institutional sales professionals are long-tenured industry veterans with experience at bulge-bracket banks and specialty boutiques. We serve clients at both hedge funds and long-only asset managers.

Our clients are geographically dispersed and represent the country’s most respected investment institutions. The sales team works in a collaborative manner with its partners in equity research, capital markets and trading to deliver full capabilities to our sophisticated client base.

The Equity Execution team manages and oversees the fulfilment of clients’ orders for both Japanese and U.S. securities. Our team is responsible for covering the North American client base for their low and high touch execution needs accessing the local markets in Japan. Together with our trading team in Tokyo, we provide a range of trading, execution and analytics solutions which cater to simple or sophisticated requirements. The team benefits from some of the best relationships in corporate Japan, and combined with our electronic and high-touch trading services, provides our clients with deep access to liquidity for some of the highest crossing results in the market. Our team’s second mandate is to cover our global clients for their high touch execution needs within the U.S. markets.
