Our commitments to ethics and integrity

SMBC Group Americas Division (SMBC Group AD) is committed to conducting its business activities in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, internal policies, and in accordance with the highest ethical standards. It is important that employees and other stakeholders promptly raise concerns about unfair or unethical conduct or a potential violation of legal, regulatory, accounting, policy, Code of Conduct or control requirements occurring in the workplace or that is otherwise connected to SMBC Group AD. SMBC Group AD provides the SMBC AD Speak Up Hotline as a reporting channel for this purpose.

The SMBC AD Speak Up Hotline is administered on a dedicated, secure external reporting platform called EthicsPoint, which is administered by NAVEX Global, Inc., an independent third-party provider of hotline services. You may submit a report through the telephone hotline, for which SMBC Group AD provides country-specific toll-free numbers, or through the online reporting portal. The SMBC AD Speak Up Hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Reports will be treated confidentially, to the extent possible in our performance of an appropriate review and subject to applicable laws. You may also choose to report anonymously, where permitted by local law.

You can raise your concern without fear of reprisal. SMBC Group AD strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
