Letter of Credit Confirmation (Silent or Open)

Undertaking provided to the Seller for the payment of an L/C upon compliant presentation against L/C terms and conditions; further securing the Seller against country, political, and foreign exchange risks of the Issuing Bank.

Letter of Credit and DA Discounting With Recourse

Providing working capital funds by financing the Seller’s export bills receivables.

Letter of Credit and DA Discounting Without Recourse/Forfaiting

Purchasing of trade receivables against the credit risk of the L/C issuing bank, acceptor of a bill of exchange or maker of an instrument of payment. Such receivables may be evidenced by a Promissory Note, Bill of Exchange, Deferred Payment L/C or a Letter of Forfaiting.

Account Receivables Purchase/Factoring

Purchasing trade receivables of a Seller arising from Open Account (OA) transactions.

Supplier Finance

Discounting Seller’s receivables at the back of the payment commitment of a Buyer.

Buyers Credit

Short-to-medium term import financing provided to a Buyer (Importer) to fund its purchase of goods from abroad in foreign currency.

Payment Guarantee

Undertaking provided to a Seller to mitigate a Buyer’s non-payment of obligations.

Standby Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantee

A written undertaking issued for the account of an Applicant to assure a Beneficiary that should conditions of a trade or service contract not be fulfilled, the Beneficiary may call upon the guarantee to satisfy the damage caused or financial loss incurred. May be issued also for Bid, Advance Payment, Performance, Retention, and Warranty Bonds.

Two-Step Bond or Counter Guarantee

Undertaking issued at the back of a counter-guarantee of an accredited bank. Similarly, issuance of a counter-guarantee in favor of a fronting guarantor bank for the account of a corporate client.

Letter of Credit or BA Refinance

Refinancing a bank’s trade obligations due on issuance of letters of credit, acceptance of import bills, or import loans.

Pre-export Finance

Working capital loan extended to an Exporter against its export sales contracts with a reputable buyer.
