Black Organization for Leadership & Development
Our Black Organization for Leadership and Development’s (BOLD) mission is to support an inclusive work environment by sharing the cultures, experiences, talents, skills, and perspectives of the innately diverse Black/African-American communities with all of SMBC . BOLD will provide educational and professional developmental opportunities to its members and other SMBC employees.
Future Leaders Incubator
Future Leaders Incubator’s (FLI) mission is to bridge the gap between generations, provide a platform for employees to develop and showcase skills, give back to the communities that support it, and serve as a conduit of knowledge and innovation.
The mission of NIJI Pride, our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Supporter/Ally (LGBTA) inclusion network, is to create an open and welcoming workplace for all SMBC employees, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. The network’s goal is to help foster an environment that allows everyone to reach their full potential and allows SMBC to demonstrate its vision of inclusion and diversity both internally and externally.
UNIQUE’s mission is to integrate the disability community into SMBC’s culture through awareness, support, and advocacy. UNIQUE provides support to employees and builds awareness of visible and invisible disabilities across the organization, improves the employee experience by creating an emotionally intelligent culture, creates a more diverse and inclusive workforce, and recommends suggestions for accommodations and access for all employees.
Veterans Enhancing Talent and Success
Our Veterans Enhancing Talent & Success group’s (VETS) mission is to be a key resource for all veteran-related issues and initiatives. VETS helps to foster inclusion and diversity among the military veteran community within SMBC. VETS works closely with our HR Talent Acquisition team and external partners to assist veterans who are transitioning into the workforce and helps to enhance SMBC’s reputation among the external veteran community and financial services industry.
Women's Inclusion Network
Our Women’s Inclusion Network’s (WIN) mission is to play a key role in SMBC’s growth by helping our firm to maximize the diverse strengths and skills of our employees. WIN works to create a positive environment for women and to cultivate talented professionals for leadership roles. While WIN is targeted to women, as an inclusive network, it supports all employees in reaching their full career potential.
For more than 50 years, Catalyst has firmly believed that women must achieve parity with men in opportunity, leadership, and pay in the workplace, or risk being marginalized in every other arena.
