SMBC Bank International plc (SMBC BI) is headquartered in London with a branch in Paris and is a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC. It was established in March 2003 as Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited (SMBCE) and changed its name and re-registered as a public limited company in 2020. It serves customers in the United Kingdom and in non-European Economic Area (non-EEA) countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

SMBC Bank EU AG (SMBC EU) is a credit institution established in Germany with its head office in Frankfurt and five branches across Europe in Amsterdam, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Madrid, Milan and Prague. It provides business and financial services in the European Economic Area (EEA) as a wholly owned European subsidiary of SMBC.

SMBC Advisory Services Saudi Arabia LLC (SMBC Saudi) is based in Riyadh and conducts arranging and corporate financial advisory business activities in Saudi Arabia. It was established in 2017.

Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD) offers support services for SMBC Group companies from Ireland’s International Financial Services Centre. It was established in Ireland in 1989 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC.

SMBC has branches in Brussels, Dubai, Düsseldorf and London, and representative offices in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Cairo, Doha, Istanbul, Johannesburg and Tehran.

Securities

SMBC Nikko Capital Markets Limited (SMBC Nikko) acts as a global hub for SMBC Group's investment banking business. Headquartered in London, it provides in-depth market analysis and research, broking and trading in primary and secondary debt and equity securities, advisory services on mergers and acquisitions, and marketing and trading an extensive range of over-the-counter derivative contracts. It has two subsidiaries, SMBC Derivative Products Limited (SMBC DP) and SMBC Capital Markets Asia Limited, which undertake derivatives business and offer bespoke services for clients.
