SMBC advises ENBW on its Climate Transition plan

Climate transition plans are gaining importance amid evolving regulatory requirements. SMBC supported German utility EnBW in the initial drafting of its climate transition plan, which targets climate neutrality by 2035. 

Drawing on sector best practices, SMBC conducted a heatmap assessment to identify areas where EnBW had already made progress and provided strategic input to address gaps. This included developing new content to ensure alignment with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements.
