Our expertise is solid
To meet our clients’ needs, we offer a wide range of derivative solutions, from plain vanilla swaps to more structured exotic products1. We cover a broad range of clients, from corporations to financial institutions and structured finance.
The Americas’ specialties address client needs
North American corporate derivatives
Corporate clients across North America look to us for our expertise, ideas, and strong implementation from risk identification and execution to post-trade support. We partner together to identify and hedge market exposures across rates, foreign exchange, and commodities. In collaboration with business teams in Debt Capital Markets, Loan Capital Markets, Advisory, Structured Financing, and Corporate Banking, we generate client solutions to tackle both transformational event and steady state exposures. Leaning on our deep industry experience and strong options capabilities, we provide hedge coordination services and act as a sounding board for clients on sizable and complex transactions. We also provide direction on structural industry change and new market developments.
Latin American corporate derivatives
Closely partnering with in-country Relationship Managers and product partners across the region (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru), together we generate holistic financing solutions unique to the particular opportunities and challenges in Latin America. As currency and rate fluctuations can be quite volatile, we help clients identify hedgeable risks to meet their objectives and support growth and stability. Solutions may include currency and rate hedging, local currency financing alternatives, or bespoke products for more complex transactions and risks.
Project finance derivatives
Success is achieved as we partner with our specialized teams of corporate bankers, project bond originators, and clients who sponsor projects throughout North, Central, and South America. The projects are primarily in power, natural resources and new energies, and infrastructure. We provide comprehensive solutions for the management of risks arising from interest rates, currencies, and commodities, with the ultimate goal of optimizing debt service and improving the project’s financial sustainability.
Derivatives strategy
We provide quantitative analysis to help clients make informed risk management decisions. Using a robust framework that combines a thorough analysis of prevailing market conditions with an individual client’s risk policy objectives, we identify bespoke and cost-effective solutions to meet the specific needs of clients.
