SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. Further Expands Emerging Markets Sales and Trading Team, Appoints Dang Bui

New York, NY – September 16, 2021: SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc., a member of SMBC Group, today announced that Dang Bui has joined the Fixed Income Sales & Trading Group of the firm as a Senior Emerging Markets Credit Trader. In this role, Dang will help broaden the firm’s fixed income product suite, with a focus on Latin American corporate trading. He will report to Rogerio Silva, Head of Emerging Markets Sales and Trading.

Prior to joining SMBC Nikko Securities America, Dang was a Senior Director at Bank of America, responsible for corporate trading in several Latin American markets including Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru. Before joining Bank of America, he spent five years as a Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he managed a credit trading and research team, and worked for 12 years at Citibank, serving in similar types of senior roles focused on Latin American corporate trading.

Dang holds a Bachelor of Arts in international economics from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MBA from Cornell University. While at UCLA, he participated in a two-year foreign exchange program at Osaka University in Japan.
