SMBC Hires Suneet Dua to Accelerate International Change and Transformation

NEW YORK – July 14, 2026 – SMBC today announced that it has hired Suneet Dua as Head of International Change & Transformation as the bank advances its Medium-Term Management Plan (MTMP), with a focus on cross-regional alignment and technology transformation.

A managing director based in New York, Suneet will help the bank as it continues to integrate and scale its overseas technology and operations.

Prior to joining SMBC, Suneet spent more than three decades at PwC, where he was a member of both the U.S. and global leadership teams and held several senior leadership roles. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with senior business leaders, clients, alliance partners, and government stakeholders on strategy, operations, technology modernization, workforce transformation, and other complex issues affecting global organizations.

Suneet will report to Greg Keeley, SMBC International Chief Information Officer and Americas Chief Operating Officer, who commented: “Suneet’s experience and leadership will be an important asset to SMBC as he helps our organization execute a global transformation strategy, while ensuring we deliver consistent, measurable, and sustainable results that position our capabilities for long-term growth.”
