A confirming bank undertakes to fulfil an L/C issuing bank's payment commitment.
In an open confirmation the confirming bank advising the L/C issuing bank that it has added its confirmation.
A silent confirmation is where the confirmation is added upon request by the exporter but without a requirement to advise the issuing bank.
You can reserve a right to let us execute L/C confirmation under conditions agreed with us at the time of commitment. In this case, a commitment fee is charged.
