For certain buyer credit risks, SMBC can provide payment guarantee services. This product is suitable for large-value spot deals or annual contracts not supported by letters of credit. We will negotiate the details of the guarantee (risks to be hedged / the definition of country risks, etc.) with you and those details will be included in the final documentation. The guarantee fee will vary depending on importer, trade documents, and so on.
