SMBCE has been awarded Best Funder 2009 in PFI by Public Private Finance magazine, a major journal for the PFI market.
The criteria included providing efficient customer service, deliverability, and experience in the sector.
The three case studies were all deals closed in 2008, namely Leeds BSF 2, Leeds New Leaf Leisure and Kent BSF. SMBCE was commended for providing good partnering through working with sponsors throughout the bid process and delivering all undertakings.
