The EMG team’s main responsibilities are to:
- Evaluate the precise nature of the bank’s exposure to its considerable array of asset classes and borrowers.
- Supervise and analyse corporate documentation, technical reports and information supplied by rating agencies and relevant industries.
- Manage problem assets and trouble-free deals alike, ensuring regulatory compliance and liaising directly with borrowers.
- Lead with strategies and initiatives for risk mitigation and supply solutions to complex lending issues.
Specific members of the EMG team have responsibility for managing the bank’s exposure to different areas within the Group’s portfolio. These include:
- Oil, gas, energy and natural resource projects
- PFI and PPP
- Transport and telecoms
- Aircraft finance and shipping
- Securitisation servicing and regulatory compliance.
